Situation:

There are variants of this product. The Variants can be scaled.

Product standard price is 1$ per cm. There are two extra option (1.5$,2$). Unit is cm. Extras are going to be scaled.

1. Create Custom field (or use already existing)

Type: Generic Child Variant

Title: Select Variant

Layout: ontop (or where you want to use)

2. Create Custom field (or use already existing)

Type: Plug-in

Cart Attribute: yes

Select: Dimension

Select Plugin: VM-Custom, iStraxx Customsize

3. Create new Product set up as usual

Set price 1$

4. Set Custom Fields in your Product view of Parent

For this example we need to add the Custom field Cart variant three times.

Name them (no Extra, Extra 1, Extra 2) and set the price (0$,50$,100$).

In this example we also use the Customsize Plugin with following settings:

Unit: cm

Minimum value for length: 1

Offset for Dimension: 1

Use offset as default unit size: yes

Use the product variant price: yes

Set price: 1$

5. Add Children

Add two Child products (child 1,child 2) set price (1.5$,2$).

Check correct price settings and the Custom Fields of the children.

Do not forget to activate the Overwrite Plugin values of parent checkbox on top of Custom Field view of your
Child products if you want to use different Custom Field settings as the parent product. Else leave them as they are, the parental values are going to be used then.
